The bag just feels sturdy taking it out of the box. It’s made from 1200D Poly & what Carhartt calls a “Duravax abrasion-resistant base”, which sounds promising and delivers on that promise. One small aspect I really like is that the zippers are covered, because other backpacks that claimed to be water resistant left all of my belongings soaked when I got caught in a downpour. This one is TRULY water resistant, and moisture doesn’t soak through it.
Comfort, Space & Access
The shoulder straps make it comfortable to wear even fully loaded, and it distributes the weight in such a way that it doesn’t put too much strain on your shoulders. The main compartments is super spacious and has fit my clothes and toiletries, as well as a laptop & accessories for a full weekend trip. The 2 padded inside pockets for laptops and tablets are easily accessible. The zippered outer pockets are perfect for smaller items, like keys, pens, chargers, or small tools. The mesh water bottle pockets are the perfect size too, and won’t let your water bottle go flying when you swing your backpack on.
